Should you not be able to start your holiday, you must inform the Landlord immediately. You will however remain liable to pay the rent, unless the landlord is able to rent the booked property to someone else for that same planned period. If you do not occupy the rented property for the whole agreed rental period, you will nonetheless be liable to pay the total rent. Any early cancellation of the Agreement is subject to the Swiss Code of Obligations.
Cancelation insurance:
This insurance will reimburse the cancellation fees payable under this Rental Agreement if you are forced to cancel or arrive later, interrupt your stay or leave earlier, as a result of an insured event. We strongly recommend you conclude a cancelation insurance with Allianz Travel Assurance. The insurance premium is equivalent to 4% of the total rental price. Any situation not specifically covered by this Agreement will be governed by Articles 253 to 274 of the Swiss Code of Obligations.
The Renter must raise any complaints about the rental property immediately upon checking in. Otherwise it will be assumed that the premises and equipment are in the agreed good condition and in accordance with the contract.
The Renter agrees to protect the rental property, and the equipment contained therein, from any damage, and at the end of the rental period to surrender it with all keys and accessories in accordance with the inventory. Any damaged or unusable items must be paid.
The tenant acknowledges the house rules and grants the landlord the right to inspect the flat or have it inspected at any time. The Renter also agrees not to take any action to the detriment of the property and the equipment therein, and to report any apparent faults or damage to the Landlord immediately, and not to sublet the rental property in whole or in part; in other words, the apartment may not be occupied by more than the number of persons specified in the contract.
The lessor shall not be liable for events and conditions beyond the lessor's control, such as epidemics / pandemics, closed roads, environmental disasters, power supply, water supply, opening hours of tourist facilities, government measures of any kind, etc. In the event of such occurrences, the tenant is not entitled to terminate the contract, reduce the rental price or claim damages.
